Outreach Programs At LSLC
Bring your students to the University of Rochester Medical Center! These programs take place in our laboratory
facilities on the Medical Center campus.
Science Camps
These programs meet during school breaks. Try out a one or two week session! All session run for 3 hours per day
and include hands-on lab experiences and fun exciting science problems to solve. Read about our 2012 programs

High School Field Trips
Would you like your students to experience gel electrophoresis, bacterial transformation, medical mysteries or culture
plant stem cells? Explore our nine different High School field trips
HERE. These 4 hour laboratory investigations
(including a 30 minute lunch break) are designed for groups of students accompanied by their teacher, for grades 9-
12. Cost varies by class.
Middle School Field Trips
Want to know how to test the effect of drugs in a model organism? Solve the case of the bumpy bones? Or do you
want to be a forensic scientist? Our Middle School Field Trips are laboratory investigations designed for groups of
students accompanied by their teacher and are targeted toward students in grades 6-8, however students in grades
9-12 are welcome to sign up for these programs. These classes are about 2.5 hours long. Read more about our six
