LSLC Summer camps are now offered through the University of Rochester’s Rochester Scholars Program

New Benefits!

  • Supervised 8:00-9:00AM drop off and 4:00-5:00PM pick up at the University of Rochester.
  • Lunch time activities with other students in The Rochester Scholars Programs.
  • Dormitory accommodations are available at an additional cost for high school programs.

Summer Science Academy (High School)

This two week (full day) program is designed for students entering grades 10-12 who have a strong interest in biological science. This challenging science program emphasizes topics in microbiology and molecular biology, and teaches basic skills that are important for working in the field of biological research.

Case Studies in Science (High School)

This course meets half-days (afternoons) for one week. In this course, we explore problems and cases in medicine and biotechnology that incorporate the use of laboratory activities and techniques in molecular biology.

Science Explorations Camp - Forensics! (Middle School)

In this week-long (Full day) program students will play the role of CSI detectives as they investigate a mock crime scene set-up in the lab. They will learn biology and chemistry techniques to analyze the clues they find as well as explore a computer database containing information about the key suspects. As a team, they will solve the mystery to catch the culprit!
